The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) is stepping up to help improve fuel distribution across the country.

Speaking on the association's recent proposal to the Federal Government, PETROAN President Billy Gillis-Harry clarified that the group is not seeking a separate pricing structure. Instead, PETROAN aims to act as a direct extension of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited to ensure petroleum products reach more consumers efficiently.

> "It will not be any different from what NNPC is doing, because all we are doing is being an extension," Gillis-Harry explained.

The association is currently awaiting an official response from the Federal Government regarding the proposal and remains optimistic about a positive outcome.

"Yes, we are waiting, and hopefully they will respond," he stated.
