In a bid to streamline learning materials and uphold educational standards, the Federal Ministry of Education has released the official approved textbook list for the **2026–2028** academic cycles across Nigerian schools.

The ministry stated that the updated selection process is designed to significantly improve transparency, accountability, and quality control in the distribution and use of instructional materials nationwide.

### Key Highlights for Schools, Teachers, and Parents

* **Mandatory Compliance:** The ministry has directed all education stakeholders—including school administrators, teachers, and publishers—to strictly adhere to the approved list for all specified classes.

* **Tracking and Verification:** To combat unauthorized materials and ensure authenticity, each approved textbook on the complete 2026–2028 list features an official **Ranking/QR Tracking Code**.

* **Accessing the List:** The full catalog, along with the corresponding tracking codes, is now accessible to the public and school authorities through the ministry’s designated official platform.

By standardizing textbook selection and introducing digital tracking codes, the government aims to ensure that students across the country receive consistent, high-quality educational resources.
