Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has been officially named as a victim in a massive $35 million Ponzi scheme, according to federal prosecutors in a Missouri court.

The update came during court proceedings for Siddharth Jawahar, a 38-year-old former Texas investment manager who was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for orchestrating the multi-million-dollar fraud. Jawahar, who pleaded guilty in January to three counts of wire fraud, was also ordered to pay more than $31 million in restitution.

### How the Fraud Unfolded

Jawahar operated Swiftarc Capital LLC, a Texas-based firm through which he funneled investors' funds. Back in 2015, he poured almost all of his clients' money into a single volatile holding: Philip Morris Pakistan (PMP).

When the value of PMP tanked, Jawahar hid the losses from his clients. Instead of being upfront, he lied to investors—convincing them that their capital had been spread across profitable companies and was earning steady returns.

In reality, between July 2016 and December 2023, Jawahar only actually invested around $10 million of the $35 million entrusted to him.

### Private Jets and Cover-Ups

Rather than managing a legitimate portfolio, prosecutors revealed that Jawahar used millions in stolen funds to finance an lavish lifestyle. His spending spree included:

* **Private jet travel and high-end luxury hotels**

* **Dining at expensive restaurants and elite private club memberships**

* **Upscale apartments in both Austin and New York**

When federal authorities began closing in, Jawahar’s actions grew increasingly desperate. Following his indictment, he attempted to "coach" a victim on how to give favorable statements to FBI agents. Fearing exposure regarding his immigration status and finances, he even tried to instruct his sister to wipe his iPhone to destroy evidence.

While court documents confirm Kelce’s inclusion on the list of victims wronged by Jawahar's network of entities, prosecutors have not yet disclosed the exact financial loss suffered by the 36-year-old tight end or how he was initially introduced to the firm.
