The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially shifted into campaign mode after successfully uploading the details of all its candidates for the 2027 general elections onto the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.

The flawless milestone was confirmed by the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, via a celebratory post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

471 Candidates Successfully Uploaded

A grand total of 471 candidates representing the APC across various positions—including Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives slots—were successfully locked into the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP) ahead of the designated deadline.

With the paperwork and technical boxes checked, Yilwatda made it clear that the party's full focus is now moving from administration to intense grassroots mobilization.

"I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of APC on the successful 100% upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP)," Yilwatda wrote. "With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilization and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls."

Confidence Soars Ahead of the 2027 Polls

The party’s leadership isn't just organized; they are extremely confident. Speaking in Abuja during the formal submission of the nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, Yilwatda projected a landslide victory for the ticket.

The APC Chairman revealed that the party is heading into the general elections with a massive head start, claiming about 12 million votes are already mathematically assured from the party’s registered members nationwide.

Why the APC Expects a Decisive Win:

  • Primary Momentum: The overwhelming consensus and support President Tinubu received during the APC presidential primary serves as an early indicator of the party's internal unity and strength.

  • Policy Impact: Leadership believes that millions of everyday Nigerians who have benefited from the current administration’s infrastructure, economic reforms, and social programs will show their appreciation at the ballot box.

With the ruling party setting the pace by meeting the INEC deadline early, the political stage for 2027 is officially heating up.
